PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defective products from being continuously produced by detecting factors of quality abnormality of a slave medium to be generated due to various factors in an initial magnetization process, a transfer process, etc., at an early stage and enabling solution of them in performing magnetic transfer by closely adhering the slave medium to a master carrier. SOLUTION: In this information management method, a slave inspecting device 15 that closely adheres the slave medium 2 to receive the magnetic transfer to master carriers 3, 4 having transfer patterns in a holder 6 after performing initial magnetization of the slave medium 2, inspects the quality abnormality of the slave medium 2 after the magnetic transfer for performing the magnetic transfer by impressing a magnetic field for transfer is installed and a process control part 20 that receives inspection results is provided. In the process control part 20, device management numbers attached to used devices such as an initial magnetization device 11, a transfer device 14 and member management numbers attached to used members such as the master carriers 3, 4, the holder 6 in a magnetic transfer process are recorded by associating them with the slave medium 2, devices/members of the magnetic transfer process are retrieved in detecting the quality abnormality of the slave medium 2 and abnormality generation factors are calculated from common items with abnormality detection in the past.
