<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image copying machine for controlling its operation depending on a form of a temporal/permanent fault of image print. <P>SOLUTION: The image copying machine indicates a configuration example of a connected copying system interconnected by a communication means and comprises a master machine A and a slave machine B. In the case that a plurality of copying machines are interconnected to make a connected copy/print, even when toner in an image forming color in a copying machine receiving a print request runs short (is empty), if another machine connected to the copying machine has the image forming color toner, the copying machine whose toner runs short can make printing by using the other machine. Through the above configuration, even when image forming color toner runs short in the machine A, if received original image data have an original image whose print is made possible by another image forming color toner, the machine A shares the image and the machine B shares the other image to remarkably enhance the efficiency thereby reducing the deterioration in the system operating efficiency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
