<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ferrite magnetic powder for a high-performance bonded magnet. <P>SOLUTION: The bonded magnet ferrite magnetic powder has a magnetoplumbite crystal structure as a main phase, an average grain diameter of 0.5 to 2 μm, and an Fe<SP>2+</SP>content of 0.07 mass % or below (excluding 0). More specifically, a magnetic isotropic ferrite composition obtained by calcination is ground and thermally treated in an excess oxygen atmosphere of a pressure of 0.02 MPa (0.2 atm.) at a temperature of 750°C or higher to below 1,000°C to obtain the bonded magnet ferrite magnetic powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
