<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PWM control apparatus which reduces a burden on the computbility of an arithmetic circuit and is versatile to the wide application of an inverter. <P>SOLUTION: A PWM control apparatus includes a plurality of registers at a first stage for holding a plurality of set data outputted from an arithmetic circuit, a counter circuit of peaks and bottoms of carriers for counting peaks and bottoms of a carrier generation circuit, a plurality of registers at a second stage for delivering counter circuit signals when a value which is set on the counter circuit of peaks and bottoms of carriers coincides with the counter value of peaks and bottoms of carriers, and holding them with output signals of the counter circuit of peaks and bottoms of carriers, a comparator of comparing the counter value of output on the carrier generation circuit with the register outputs at the second stage, and a current detector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
