A polyester filament having an irregular dim clolr, and a smooth feeling was manufactured. A low oriented undrawn yarn was spinned in a velocity of 1,000-1,500 m/min to give a low oriented yarn having a degree of orientation of 5-10 X 103. The low oriented yarn was drawn in the draw ratio of 2.8-3.2, at a heating roller of room temperature - 45 deg.C, heating plate of 160-200 deg.C to form various drawing point. Thereafter heat treated and confounded to give the filament.
