摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium having uniform head contact properties and stable electromagnetic transducing characteristics. SOLUTION: The magnetic recording medium having an under coating layer formed by using a radiation curing resin on a substrate, a non-magnetic layer containing non-magnetic powder and a binder on the under coating layer and at least one magnetic layer containing ferromagnetic powder and a binder on the non-magnetic layer is characterized in that the under coating layer has 0.05 to 0.1μm thickness and the non-magnetic powder has average acicula ratio of≥8 and a raft-shape.
