PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an illegal copy and those from generation to generation when a video signal on a disc-shaped recording medium is copied to another recording medium as an analog signal. SOLUTION: A TOC area and a program area in a lead-in of the disc-shaped recording medium with a recorded by image signal are constituted of same-sized sector structures. Each sector structure consists of a header portion and a data portion, where recording control information such as a copy management information is recorded in the data portion at least when they exist in the TOC area and in the header portion at least when they exist in the program area.
