PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing device capable of obtaining smoothly reproduced images even at a high speed reproduction, and preventing deterioration in the quality of the reproduced images. SOLUTION: When an user selects a high speed reproduction via an user interface 55, a system controller 47 controls a media controller 42, retrieves one or more stamp video data from an optical disk OD by a reproducing driver 41, and writes them in frame unit in the corresponding memory space in a memory 53. A data reproducing device 1 of a data processing device retrieves one by one the stamp video data written in frame unit in the memory space of the memory 53, and simultaneously displays picture information of one or more frames on a screen for each output frame.
