PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash lighting apparatus capable of applying uniform illumination onto a table with a comparatively large size and reducing a light deviated to the outside of the table and to provide a printed matter measuring apparatus provided with the same. SOLUTION: The lighting apparatus 4 is provided with a flash light source 20, a slit member 21, and a parabolic mirror 22. The parabolic mirror 22 is provided with a mirror surface curved along a table 1 in forward/backward directions of the apparatus. The illumination light excessive light of which is cut by the slit member 21 of the apparatus is illuminated on the face of the table 1 as a light with directivity by the parabolic mirror 22.
