PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a commodity column and a commodity selecting means which are not made to correspond from being left as they are by easily changing setting of correspondence relationship between commodity columns and commodity selecting means of an automatic vending machine. SOLUTION: To change the setting of correspondence relationship between the commodity columns and the commodity-selecting buttons, a plurality of correspondence relationships between the commodity-selecting buttons 5 and the commodity columns 3 are all canceled. Commodity columns which are not made to correspond to any commodity buttons are extracted and called up sequentially from a memory 12 to be displayed on a display part 10. First, a commodity-selecting button 5 is selected by a remote control 8 and made to correspond to a commodity column 3. Next, a commodity-selecting button 5 is selected as well and made to correspond to the commodity column 3. Otherwise, the commodity columns 3 are selected, the relationships of correspondence to the commodity-selecting buttons 5 are all canceled, and the commodity- selecting buttons 5 not being made to correspond are called up sequentially to be made to correspond to the commodity columns 3.
