PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for taking in a voice clip in a digital camera before, during or after taking in a related photograph image. SOLUTION: In the inventive system, a user can associate a voice clip 310 with a corresponding photograph image 311 by controlling start and stop of recording using two shutter button positions S1 and S2. During operation, the user pushes a shutter button 105 downward to a partially depressed position S1 before taking in of voice is started. Subsequently, the user depresses the shutter button completely and starts taking in of an image while sustaining recording of the voice clip. Recording of voice sustains until the shutter button is released completely. The recorded voice clip and a corresponding image are stored in the memory of a camera in such a format as they are associated again when the memory 102 is down loaded from the camera 101.
