PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which enables easy reading of contents written on a subject whose photograph is taken aslant. SOLUTION: An edge detection part 120 detects edges which are included in a photograph picture basing on picture data written on a frame memory 116. Based on the edge detection result by the edge detection part 120, a transformation processor 122 selects the quadrilateral that has the largest area among quadrilaterals surrounded by the edges in the photograph picture written on the frame memory 116. The transformation processing part 122 selects the shortest side among sides of the selected quadrilateral, and assumes a rectangle having the selected side as one of its sides. The transformation processing part 122 transforms a picture of the selected quadrilateral in the photograph picture into a picture of the assumed rectangle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
