PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a processor by stopping coefficient updating in a period when a tap coefficient converges. SOLUTION: The magnitude of an error signal 104 obtained by an error calculating part 115 is compared with a prescribed threshold value by an error signal judging part 116. When the magnitude is smaller than the threshold value, a clock control signal 107 for stopping clock supply is output to a clock control part 114, and a coefficient update stopping signal 1081 is output to a coefficient updating part 112, thereby stopping clock supply to the coefficient updating part 112.
