PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a secure shielding structure and a parts protective structure with enough strength by constructing the structure inexpensively with excellent workability while making a device thinner and miniaturizing the device. SOLUTION: A portable terminal device includes a first circuit board 23 and a second circuit board 24 respectively in casings 11, 12, and a shielding member 26 is provided between the circuit boards 23, 24 for holding the circuit boards at a predetermined distance while having a shielding function. The shielding member 26 is constructed with a member obtained by integrating a frame 27 comprising a resilient member and a box 28 comprising a sheet metal inserted into a space in the frame 27, which member is mounted on and fixed to the first and second circuit boards 23, 24 with the aid of engagement pawls 27d, 27e. When a key button 25a is depressed, the second circuit board 24 and circuit parts 30 are protected in deformation and stress from external stress by the rigid box 28, whereby a shielding function and a protective function are satisfactorily ensured while making the device thinner.
