PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator in which the influence of a high-order resonance frequency component in the yawing direction which is harmful to high speed operation is reduced. SOLUTION: The device has such a structure that a holding part is slightly displaceable to the yawing direction (rotational direction having the axis in the direction parallel with a center axis of an objective lens) with respect to an actuator base, with a holding block 210 to which a damping material is injected and the actuator base 240 functioned as a yoke attached with a permanent magnet, connected by a leaf spring 270. Thus, the component of the oscillation in the yawing direction is absorbed, which is generated by the parallel advancing motion to focusing and tracking directions of a movable part placing an objective lens 10, focusing and tracking coils thereon, then the influence of the high-order resonance frequency component in the yawing direction which is harmful to the high speed operation, is reduced.
