PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily transfer a file in a short period of time. SOLUTION: A host computer system 100 requests information showing file attributes of a file recorded in a data folder 271 of a connected portable information terminal device 200. The host computer system 100 acquires file attributes information of the file which is recorded in a cache folder 173 and has been already transferred from the portable information terminal device 200. A file unrecorded in the cache folder 173 is specified by comparing the file attributes information acquired from the portable information terminal device 200 with the file attributes information acquired from the cache folder 173, and only the specified file is transferred to the host computer system.
