PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit that outputs a constant voltage by boosting it by small energy using an output circuit formed of a double-layered capacitor and a secondary battery. SOLUTION: The voltage is raised by a boosting circuit formed of the capacitor and the secondary battery by small energy instead of being raised by connecting the capacitor and the battery in series. This arrangement dispenses with a space for the capacitor or the secondary battery for raising the voltage. In particular, the capacitor decreases the voltage from an initial voltage in a short time, and the voltage is stabilized at the level of 40% of the initial voltage, thus not allowing the initial voltage to be used as a working voltage (a voltage in designing the circuit). The maximum and minimum of the capacitor voltage developed by this new circuit are determined according to the operational condition of the boosting circuit. A discharge time is controlled by an inductance value. As a result, the voltage thus outputted is higher than the initial voltage, and the output of the constant voltage that does not drop with a lapse of time is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
