PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disperse a control load without necessity of a control unit by distributing and processing a control function to a habitable room terminal. SOLUTION: An interphone device for an apartment house comprises a plurality of habitable room terminals 1a,..., 1f each having a data transmission unit 11 installed in the habitable room for communicating data, and a call talking unit 12 for conducting a call talking; and one or a plurality of set entrance units each having a data transmission unit installed in an entrance of the apartment house or the like for communicating the data, a call communication unit for conducting call talking via a speech route, and an image imaging unit for imaging the image and transmitting the image via an imaging route. Storage units 14 for previously storing data of a habitable room number of the terminal for taking charge of control of the image route, and data of the room number of the terminal for taking charge of control of the talking route are provided all of the terminals and the set entrance units. A control unit 16 for controlling the image route and the talking route by previously setting the room terminal 1 for taking charge of control of the image route and the room terminal 1b for taking charge of control of the talking route.
