PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide required information by facilitating management of stored service contents. SOLUTION: The service information providing system comprises an exchange facility 4 of a public telephone network 1 having means for outputting a voice call mutually between specified telephone terminals 2 and 3, a voice/character converter 6 for converting a voice call outputted from the exchange facility 4 into a character string, and a telephone recorder 5 for storing the character string converted by the voice/character converter 6 along with the terminal identification information of the telephone terminals 2 and 3 and providing the character string to a data terminal 8 in response to a request from the data terminal 8 connected through a data network 7.
