PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology with which a user easily designates an equipment connected to a home network. SOLUTION: An identification information storage part 214 correspondently holds first identification information preset to an equipment connected to the network and second identification information arbitrarily set by the user. A first control signal receiving part 202 receives a first control signal. A selection part 206 selects the first identification information made corresponding to the second identification information contained in the first control signal out of the identification information storage part 214. A creation part 208 creates a second control signal containing the first identification information. A second control signal transmitting part 210 transmits the second control signal to the equipment.
