PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow panel structure for obtaining a hollow panel having higher plane accuracy in good productivity without requiring correction irrespective of the thickness, material, size and jointing method of a metal plate. SOLUTION: The hollow panel 1 is constituted by stacking two metal plates 2, 3, each of which is provided with a plurality of scattered projections 2a, 3a, in the manner that the end portions of projections 2a, 3a are placed in contact with each other and jointing (by laser welding) the contact portions of the projections 2a, 3a of both metal plates 2, 3. Moreover, the heights h<SB>1</SB>, h<SB>2</SB>of the projections 2a, 3a of both metal plates 2, 3 are set so that the center O of distortion generated by jointing of the projections 2a, 3a of the two metal plates 2, 3 almost matches the neutral axis N of the cross-section of both metal plates 2, 3. Accordingly, the center O of the distortion generated by joining of the projections 2a, 3a almost matches the neutral axis where stress and distortion are never generated, the distortion generated by the jointing is concentrated to the neutral axis N, and this distortion never generates distortion (warp) of the hollow panel 1 as a whole.
