<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately search for programs of the same contents. <P>SOLUTION: Using title messages and description messages of programs transmitted together with program signals, one message is extracted as a representative from the description messages containing words and phrases mostly used in the title messages (S102-S104). This process is applied about two programs to extract their respective representative words from two representatives.
