PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptor for amplifying sound and a communication apparatus for amplifying sound that enables a talker to talk from an arbitrary position and to talk at low costs. SOLUTION: A communication link is established between PHS terminals P1. Then, a voice signal that is sent from the PHS terminal P1 is outputted to an A/D converter 101 through a ear microphone jack EJ, is converted to digital signal, then is buffered by a delay memory 102, is inputted to a D/A converter 105 through a switcher 104 for converting to an analog voice signal, and is amplified and outputted by a speaker 107 through an amplifier 106 and a speaker terminal 107a. Additionally, tone signals transmitted from the PHS terminal P1 are detected by a tone detection circuit 109, a control section 120 outputs a voice message stored at a memory 103 to a D/A converter 105 according to the detection result, and amplifies and outputs a preset message.
