OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication system for avoiding deterioration in a communication response due to increased traffics without the need for extending the provision of optical fibers.

SOLUTION: The optical communication system modulates electric signals being an object of simultaneous distribution in different frequencies, converts each electric signal after the modulation into optical signals in different wavelengths, and transmits the optical signals to a plurality of optical fibers. The system connects the optical signal transmitted through the optical fiber with a small traffic load to the optical signal transmitted through the optical fiber with a high traffic load by means of wavelength division multiplexing, converts the connected wavelength division multiplex optical signal into an electric signal and demodulates the electric signal after conversion.
