INFORMATION PROVIDING METHOD AND AUTHENTICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a technique for easily authenticating the presence of a person to be authenticated in a prescribed place in a prescribed time or time band (specified presence) such that the person to be authenticated such as an agent who visits a customer's house to perform a visit service or a business assignee who is assigned to visit the customer house to perform a business is actually present in a prescribed place such as customer's house in a designated time or time band by effectively using the characteristics of automatic meter reading.

SOLUTION: This information providing method uses a meter reading means capable of performing a communication with a meter device for measuring the feed quantity of a supply matter to a consumer and displaying an indicator value of integrated feed quantities to collect the indicator value of the meter device. The indicator value collected by the meter reading means is associated with the display time of the indicator value to generate indicator value information data, and the generated indicator value information data is provided to a person who requests information providing.
