PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a white balance by photographing an achromatic object, while eliminates the necessity of carrying a special-purpose object. SOLUTION: A part of a lens cap of a photographic lens is made to be an achromatic color, and the surface is photographed to set the white balance. Also, to facilitate photographing, the lens cap can be fixed on the front face of a photographic lens barrel or connected to the barrel or a digital camera body to be fixed on a photographic position.
