PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means and a method for automatically obtaining an abnormal state or its metered value from a monitored image even when an actual image is not carefully observed. SOLUTION: The method for monitoring the image comprises the steps of: disposing a necessary number of observing windows 202 on a region desired to be detected that a change exists in a screen for imaging an object to be monitored, comparing the windows corresponding to the plurality of the images different on a time base with each other, and grasping various type abnormal states of the objects to be monitored from a time change of a different point.
