PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply image processing to a character area regardless of respective separated areas in printing with a print adding function in a color image forming device in a color image forming device for separating an image into a character area and a photograph area and performing processing different for each of the separated areas. SOLUTION: In an image area separation information acquiring part 2, a colorless memory plane for one page provided corresponding to a memory plane for each color is created and when printing is performed, such printing is forcibly set to the colorless memory plane as a character area by an image area separation information adding part 5.
