PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which reliably and stably holds a liquid crystal display panel in a liquid crystal display device and which can be thinned. SOLUTION: The lower glass 20b of the liquid crystal display panel 20 has overhangs 20e and 20f. The overhangs 20e and 20f are projected toward the opposite lateral sides of the liquid crystal display panel 20, respectively. A plurality of hook parts 22a to 22d of a frame body 22 are latched on the upper surface of the overhangs 20e and 20f. When all the hook parts 22a to 22d are latched on the lower glass 20b, the liquid crystal display panel 20 is reliably and stably held. The height of hook parts 20a to 22d can be lowered and thinned by the thickness of an upper polarizing plate 20c and an upper part glass 20a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
