A hairdressing salon has a hair-washing assembly consisting of a water supply to a water rose and a washbasin. The washbasin traps washing water and discharges to a drain. The washbasin is mounted on a pedestal and is adjustable for height and azimuth. The washbasin esp. has a U-shaped handhold (9, 10) either side of the head/neck detent (7).
