PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autotensioner, in which partial wear is prevented from occurring in a bush due to moment on a rocking member produced by load of a belt. SOLUTION: A bush 8 is fit on the outside periphery of a shaft part 7a of a support member 7, and a circular-arcuate cross-section support 10 is formed in the bush 8. The inside periphery of a torsion coil-spring 9 is brought into contact with the outside periphery of the support 10. With the contraction of the diameter of the spring 9, the support 10 is pressed on an inside cylinder part 4c of a rocking member 4, in order to restrain the rocking member 4 from inclining due to the load of the belt with respect to the axis 7a of the support member 7.
