PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a partition wall for restraining increase of thickness of whole of the partition wall by firmly mounting a fireproof plate for improving fireproof performance, while facilitating its installation work and without lowering the fireproof performance of the partition wall. SOLUTION: Each of fitting parts 13a, 13b having a recess of generally channel shape in cross section is provided on each of side surfaces 11, 12 of a steel stud 10 for fitting the fireproof plate. A cut and raised click piece 15 is provided on each of the bottom surfaces of the fitting parts 13a, 13b, and a long fireproof plate or plural short fireproof plates 14a, 14b are mounted on at least one of the fitting parts 13a, 13b.
