PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous heat treatment facility in which rapid cooling of≥50°C/s can be realized by sufficiently utilizing a heat conductive effect of a gaseous hydrogen. SOLUTION: In the continuous heat treatment facility, the rapid cooling of≥50°C/s can be realized by combining a heating zone, a soaking zone and a slow cooling zone in a vertical type furnace and a rapid cooling zone in a horizontal type furnace and sufficiently utilizing the heat conductive effect of the gaseous hydrogen. In the continuous heat treatment facility having the heating zone and the soaking zone are arranged in the vertical type furnace using mainly gaseous nitrogen as an atmospheric gas and the rapid cooling zone is arranged in the horizontal type furnace using≥15% of the atmospheric gas to the gaseous hydrogen and the balance mainly gaseous nitrogen.
