<p>Steroids, pref. 3-desoxy-C19-steroids unsatd. in the A-ring, are dissolved in an organic water-miscible solvent and treated with an aerobic bacterial culture, grown under defined conditions, pref. corynebacterium spec. and streptomyces spec., interrupting fermentation after 30 - 60 hours and separating cpd. formed. Process includes treatment of DELTA3- and DELTA3,5-desoxy-C19-steroids with corynebacterium spec. and treatment of DELTA4-3-desoxy-C19-steroids with streptomyces spec.</p> |
