THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND MOLDED ARTICLE

A thermoplastic polymer which comprises glutaric anhydride units represented by the following general formula (1) and has an absorbance at a wavelength of 280 nm of 0.5 or lower (the absorbance indicates a value obtained by examining a 100 µm-thick film with an ultraviolet/visible spectrophotometer) and a glass transition temperature of 130°C or higher. The thermoplastic polymer is highly colorless and transparent and is excellent in heat resistance, moldability, and residence stability.
