The universal memory card contains a common transfer interface (81), an interface/converter (82), a microprocessor (83) and a flash memory (86). The common unit handles a combination of USB lines and data lines (D0-D3). Initialization signals are fed through the MF1 and MF2 lines. Control and data bus units (84) connect with a Cache memory.
