A browser and a program containing a multi-medium content capable of easily handling a sophisticated multi-medium content. A reception terminal (113) accesses a server (124) corresponding to an URL which has been input on a network (112). The server (124) distributes distribution software (243) consisting of browser software (251) having specification to be satisfied by a component to receive a predetermined service and a multi-medium content (252) having a predetermined configuration, to the reception terminal (113) via the network (112). The reception terminal (113) causes to display the distributed multi-medium content (252) on the distributed browser (251). The present invention may be applied to personal computer, digital home electric appliances, and the like.
