<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of removing a foreign body by a laser beam without damaging a colored layer, in the method for removing the foreign body on a colored pattern consisting of the colored layer of a color filter by the irradiation with the laser beam, and to be more concretely, to provide a method capable of removing a scattered material which is generated when the irradiation with the laser beam is performed, in the method for correcting the foreign body defect of the color filter, in which, after newly forming a white defect as a void in the region including the foreign body defect by irradiating the foreign body defect of the colored pattern consisting of the colored layer with the laser beam, the foreign body defect is corrected by filling correction ink having the color corresponding to that of the void by a dispenser or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for removing the foreign body on the colored pattern consisting of the colored layer of the color filter by the irradiation with the laser beam, the foreign body is irradiated with the laser beam at the irradiation energy degree not damaging the colored filter, in which only the region on the foreign body is irradiated with the laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
