<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a retardation film with a high R value of 400 nm or 550 nm. <P>SOLUTION: The retardation film uses a resin comprising a recurring unit expressed by formula (1), a recurring unit expressed by formula (2), a recurring unit having a partial structure expressed by formula (3), and a recurring unit expressed by formula (4). In formula (1), R expresses an aliphatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic hydrocarbon group with the carbon number of 1-20, X expresses oxygen, sulfur or selenium and phosphonate residuals with different R or X can be contained together. In formula (2), R' is selected from families independently comprising a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, the aliphatic hydrocarbon group with the carbon number of 1-20, the aromatic hydrocarbon group with the carbon number 1-20 and a nitro group, and Y is selected from families comprising a single bond, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, an alkylene group and an alkylidene group, etc. In formula (3), R" is selected from families independently comprising the hydrogen atom, the halogen atom, the aliphatic hydrocarbon group with the carbon number of 1-20, the aromatic hydrocarbon group with the carbon number of 1-20 and the nitro group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
