PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder recovery device recovering power without scattering it in the ambience in a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: This powder recovery device which sucks and recovers the powder from a toner cartridge 1 storing toner is provided with a recovery tank 5 for sucking the powder, a suck-in opening part 1 in a wall 5a of the recovery tank, a powder suction pipe connecting a powder vessel to the recovery tank, an auxiliary opening part 2 provided in the wall of the recovery tank and in a different position from the suck-in opening part, a suck-out opening part 3 positioned in the recovery tank in a position higher than the suck-in opening part and the auxiliary opening part, and a vacuum pump 6 sucking the air out from the recovery tank. At least, one of the suck-in opening part and the auxiliary opening part is opened facing in a direction along the wall 5a of the recovery tank in a planer view. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
