PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent development durability, low temperature fixing property and high temperature offset resistance and free from problems of melt sticking of the toner on a developer carrying body or a photoreceptor and contamination of a pressurizing roller. SOLUTION: In the toner containing at least a binder resin and colorant, the binder resin component comprises a polyester resin and contains 5 to 30 mass% THF insoluble content. The relation between the elution volume and scattering intensity obtained by the scattering detector by the GPC-MALLS analysis for the THF soluble content shows a peak (P1) in the elution volume region of 3.0×10<SP>3</SP>to 3×10<SP>4</SP>absolute molecular weight, a peak or a shoulder (P2) in the elution volume region of 5.0×10<SP>4</SP>to 6.0×10<SP>5</SP>absolute molecular weight, and a peak (P3) in the elution volume region of 2.0×10<SP>6</SP>to 5.0×10<SP>7</SP>absolute molecular weight.
