PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide navigation technique i.e., a navigation method and a navigation apparatus and a program for navigation which make a user grasp a guidance point to be an object surely, by representing position relation of the guidance point from a landmark before the guidance point, when guidance such as left turn, right turn, etc., is performed in route guidance of navigation. SOLUTION: A landmark information retrieval portion 45 retrieves landmark information representing a landmark in line with a route, just before the next guidance point with respect to a current position of a vehicle, from a storage means which uses a DVD 5. An assist information forming portion 46 forms assist information for a guidance point which represents position relation between the retrieved landmark and the next guidance point. A landmark approach judging portion 47 judges whether the current position of the vehicle approaches a position which corresponds to the retrieved landmark information.
