PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupler for a mechanical joint for a reinforcement enabling easy recognition as to whether a reinforcement length of an inserted part inside the coupler is sufficient or not as a joint for the reinforcement from the appearance of the joint after connection of the reinforcement. SOLUTION: In this coupler 1 for a cylindrical joint connecting two thread reinforcements 3 and 3 together, a through hole 2 allowing visual check of end faces 3a and 3a of the two thread reinforcements inserted into opening parts in both ends from the outside is arranged in the vicinity of the longitudinal direction center part of the coupler 1.
