OUTER WATERPROOFING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a strong outer waterproofing layer on the outer surface of a caisson enabling restraint of easy separation and large damage. SOLUTION: This outer waterproofing method is applied to a caisson construction method in which a concrete caisson 1 manufactured on the ground is settled in the ground. Prior to settlement of the caisson, a primer layer mainly composed of epoxy resin-base primer is formed as a bed layer on the outer surface, and polyurethane-base waterproofing material is applied to the upper side thereof by spraying to form a coating film waterproofing layer as an outer waterproofing layer 2. As the primer, the primer for a wetting surface is adopted to form a primer layer in the still wetting early-stage concrete. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
