The invention relates to a tool intended for chip removing machining that comprises two parts, e.g. a basic body (1) and a cutting insert (2), which have connecting surfaces (12, 13) arranged to engage each other. According to the invention, a ridge (15) having a cross-section-wise tapering shape and formed in one of the connecting surfaces (12), and a likewise cross-section-wise tapering groove (17) in the second connecting surface (13), which groove receives the ridge, both are in the shape of curves. The curve shape may for instance be circular, elliptical, polygon-formed or the like.
