COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND RECEPTION HISTORY DELETING METHOD

There is provided a communication device having a function to delete reception histories stored in the communication device. The user is prompted to enter the set information for controlling reception histories via an operation part (6) and a display part (8). A reception history control setting part/reception history control part (11) determines, based on the entered set information, whether reception histories should be deleted or retained. The reception history control setting part/reception history control part (11) stores reception histories in a transmission/reception history memory (5), and automatically deletes reception histories that were seen by the user but whose calling party numbers were not seen by the user.
