PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer sliding bearing usable in place of a thick sliding bearing because it has no abutting parts like a wrapping bearing, while reducing the direct transmission of interference load to bearing surfaces so that a rotating shaft or the like can be smoothly supported during rotation without being much affected by the manufacturing accuracy of support members. SOLUTION: The multilayer sliding bearing 1 taking the form of an endless loop includes reinforcement 2 made of a metallic plate such as a cold rolled steel plate; a net 3 made of a perforated plate made of a stainless steel plate; and a multilayer sliding bearing element 8 formed of a multilayer plate 7 having a slide layer 6 made from a synthetic resin such as polytetrafluoroethylene containing lead as a filler, the slide layer integrally coating one side 5 of the net 3.
