PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a key and the key in which an engaging section engaged with a tumbler for a lock can be worked for a time shorter than a cutting work by forming the engaging section by a press working. SOLUTION: When through-holes 14 and 15 are formed, all the through-holes 14 and 15 are punched and formed at a time by the press working to the key 11 in which a key body 12 and a gripping section 13 are formed previously. Accordingly, a working time is made shorter than the key, in which dimples are formed by the cutting work, and a working cost can be held down. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
