PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple dwelling house constructible with the same plan regardless of road abutting conditions and a direction, provided with appearance which has a feeling of life and expression on both the front face and back face of a building, provided with structure allowing the effective use of space and having excellent maintainability of various facilities in each dwelling unit with the whole living room section well ventilated. SOLUTION: In each of a plurality of dwelling units 20, 20, an indoor exclusive section of approximately rectangular shape is largely divided in one living room section 21 and two facility holding sections 22, 44. The facility holding sections 22, 44 are provided on both lateral side face sides of the living room section 21 opposedly to each other with the living room section 21 held in between. Openings 37, 38 are formed on the front face side and back face side of the living room section 21 opposedly to each other with the living room section 21 held in between, and balconies 33, 34 are provided on the outdoor sides of the openings 37, 38.
