PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalytic heating carbonization furnace that reduces a running cost of the furnace for carbonization treatment of organic wastes. SOLUTION: The catalytic heating carbonization furnace is provided with an introduction part 1 that introduces a treatment substance to be carbonized 9, drying part 15 that dries the treatment substance to be carbonized, a heat decomposition part 8 that performs the carbonization treatment by heat decomposing the treatment substance to be carbonized which is subjected to the drying treatment, a withdrawal part 2 that withdraws the carbide carbonized at the heat decomposition part outside, and a catalyst 7 with oxidative performance is disposed at the proximity to the heat decomposition part 8. The running cost of the furnace can be reduced by firstly utilizing a heat generated by the catalytic combustion of a heat decomposed gas of the organic material for the heat decomposition of the organic material, then utilizing the heat of exhaust gas of which the temperature is dropped through a heat accumulator for drying the organic wastes to enhance the heat utilization efficiency.
